Giancarlo Mattalana

Giancarlo Mattalana is a South Florida athlete who has competed in several NPC physique contests.  He started to compete in 2018, at the NPC Ultimate Grand Prix, in Men’s Physique, placing 2nd in True Novice and 1st in Class B.  He repeated his Class B win in 2019 and went on to compete at Nationals.  After a layoff of 2 years, Giancarlo came back in 2021 at the NPC Ultimate Grand Prix (2nd in Class B Men’s Physique and 3rd in Class A Classic Physique) and the NPC Atlantic Coast (2nd in Class A Men’s Physique).  After another 2-year layoff to build up, he competed at the 2023 NPC Ultimate Grand Prix again (placing 1st in Men’s Physique B and winning the Overall Men’s Physique Title) and then tried Nationals again but was unable to place.  in 2024, he went up to New York to compete at the NPC Universe but again, was unable to secure a Pro Card. We were able to do a beach photoshoot with Giacarlo in 2023 after his overall win at the Ultimate Grand Prix.
