Aaron O’Connell is a 24 year old fitness model and a ACSM Certified Personal Trainer originally from Illinois who now resides in Tallahassee, Florida. He stands 6’2″ tall with a contest weight of 195 lbs and off-season weight of 210-220 lbs. Aaron has a 33″ waist, 43″ chest, 17″ biceps, 25″ thighs and 16.5″ calves. He has been involved in sports and trains with weights. Aaron had been encouraged to pursue a professional baseball career when younger, but did not have a burning desire to follow it through, although it was with baseball that Aaron was introduced to weight training. He has competed in several fitness competitions. It started in 2010, with the Muscle and Fitness Male Model search which changed Aaron’s life. He found out about the competition and had 7 ¬Ω weeks to diet down for a photo shoot to attempt to make it to the Olympia. He didn‚Äôt win the competition to go to the Olympia but the rewards where much greater than he could imagine. This was the first time that he ever took his knowledge and dieted down like he was about to compete. The transformation that took place in those weeks amazed Aaron, seeing the results from hard work and dedication created and fueled a fire. Unfortunately, after the photo shoot, he started to bulk up to put on some muscle and hurt his shoulder. This injury took him out of the gym completely for 6 months. This six month period was the worst six months of his life. He was away from his second home (the gym) and wasn‚Äôt able to do the one thing he loved, working out. This injury and time away from the gym taught him a lot about himself and created a fire to become the best he could be. Finally after six months Aaron was back in the gym, going harder than ever. Muscle memory was taking over and he was seeing results left and right. A few weeks back into training he learned about Men‚Äôs Physique and thought finally he could compete in contests that did not require unnatural, steroid filled muscle, and actually affording the opportunity to advance and go Pro. He looked up all of the NPC competitions and found his first show that he wanted to train for, the NPC Junior USA Bodybuilding Championships. He immediately started training and dieting extremely hard for the show. All he wanted was to do his best and gain necessary knowledge about competing and to learn about the competition. He was overwhelmed with joy when he placed 5th. Aaron knew this was the beginning of his dreams and goals coming true. He also competed at the 2011 IFBB North Americans and the Jr. Nationals. We saw Aaron compete later in 2011 at the NPC Nationals in Miami, Florida in Men’s Physique Class C. It was there that we did a photo shoot with him. Aaron’s goal is to compete as an IFBB Men’s Physique Pro and become a well-known fitness and fashion model for printed, online and television media. Aaron is the Winner of the CityBoyz Male Model Search for 2011. With his own training facility, AOfitness, he hopes to inspire and encourage others through his own trials and tribulations so they too can achieve their personal, mental and physical goals. We are very pleased to add Aaron O’Connell to our roster of upcoming fitness models and bodybuilders at NorthAmericanBodies.com!
