Christian Guastella is a 30 year old bodybuilder from Ragusa, Italy which is just 20 minutes from the Mediterranean Sea. He works with his brother in a supplement store. He has been active in sports throughout school and was a sprinter. When he was fourteen years old, he started bodybuilding in a gym for the first time. He loved it. He read lots of fitness magazines and learned much about the sport. After years of training, Christian began to compete in bodybuilding competitions. He got involved with the Musclemania organization, and competed in the United States in 2009, 2010 and 2011 including the 2011 Musclemania Universe Championships held in Miami where he placed 2nd in the Bantamweight Class. We met Christian competing at that show, and photographed him both at the show and also on South Beach. During the off-season, he remains very lean and as such he only requires about 6-8 weeks to prepare for competitions. His training is divided over 4 days to work out twice a week with abs and calves, and once a week for everything else. He performs 4 exercises for major muscle groups and 3 for secondary, repetitions are 12-15 with 1 minute for recovery. Christian does aerobic training 2 to 3 times a week for 30-45 minutes. The last 4 weeks before competition he practices his posing and the preparation of a routine at the end of workouts. His precontest diet consists of lean proteins, healthy fats, and moderate carbs from vegetable, divided over 6 daily meals. His goal is to become a Pro! We are very pleased to add Christian Guastella to our roster of top bodybuilders and fitness models at NorthAmericanBodies.com!
