Nick Demellis is a 20-year-old fitness model and physique competitor from Florida. He has always been involved in sports. In addition to playing ice hockey, he was a four-year varsity soccer player. Despite an active lifestyle and excellent conditioning, Demellis was dissatisfied with his physical appearance. Four years ago, during his junior year, he was very skinny and weighed about 135 pounds Because of soccer and ice hockey, he had strong legs. but his upper body looked pretty pathetic, with no muscle development whatsoever. At that point, he decided to do something about it.” Nick began bodybuilding on a regular basis, with emphasis on different parts of his upper torso, and changed his eating habits As he developed his physique, friends and workout buddies encouraged him to enter bodybuilding competitions. Looking at the photos of the previous year’s competitors, Nick felt confident he could compete, so he took posing lessons and selected music that worked well with flexing his muscles. He competed in his first competition at the 2013 St. Pete Classic, in the Men’s Physique Division against a field of two dozen, and he finished in third place. This motivated Nick to train even harder and to enter more contests. He decided to try the 2013 NPC Hurricane Bay Championships and placed 2nd in the Men’s Physique Tall Class. Nick also entered the 2013 NPC Southeastern USA Championships, where he placed 7th in Class B. We met and photographed Nick at the Hurricane Bay Championships in Tampa, and we are pleased to add Nick Demellis to our roster of upcoming fitness models and bodybuilders at NorthAmericanBodies.com!
