Paul Califano is a 19 year old bodybuilder attending school in Florida. He stands 5’8” tall and has an offseason weight of 190 lbs., and he cuts down to 164 lbs. for competitions. His biceps measure 17”, waist 32”, chest 44”, quads 26” and calves 16”. Paul first started lifting weights in 8th grade with his dad at a local YMCA. He started actually lifting with regular splits his sophomore year of high school, and started getting into serious contest training his senior year of high school. Paul has been training seriously for bodybuilding for about 2 and a half years now. He has a strong soccer background, playing since age 4 and continuing to this day. He played club soccer for the a youth soccer league for over 7 years, and started Varsity as a freshman in high school. He was captain of his high school team, and received all-district, county, and region first team in his senior year. He was offered scholarships but Paul declined them to focus on his studies in college, but continues to play intermural soccer at Florida State University in the Greek Cup for his fraternity Pi Kappa Alpha. Paul has done well in his first bodybuilding contest, the 2010 NPC Dexter Jackson Classic (1st Place Teen Division, 1st Place Mens Novice Lightweight and 2nd Place Overall Mens Novice). We photographed Paul a few weeks after his show in Tallahassee, which included a mass routine for a magazine article.
