Ricky is a multi-title holder in competitive bodybuilding, as well as seminar leader and strength coach. From Miami, Ricky has spent many years of his life involved in the health and fitness industry. Beginning his career in personal training at the age of just 21, Ricky has worked in various health clubs and even as an exercise physiologist in a bariatric wellness center for the obese. He has competed in and won the light heavyweight class and overall titles in both the NPC Gateway Classic Bodybuilding Championships and The Florida vs. Bahamas Invitational. Overall, Ricky’s experience, knowledge, and dedication to his clients’ goals have made him a very well-rounded and notable fitness professional. He fell in love with the sport of bodybuilding after high school, He decided shortly thereafter to try a bodybuilding competition, and gave a shot in November that same year and took 2nd place at his very first bodybuilding contest! The following year he started college and competed 2 more times and took 1st and 3rd at two very big contests.He also won “Most Promising Teenager” award. After that, Ricky became more serious about school and took 2 years off from competing. He came back in 2002 and competed one more time. Ricky returned in 2007 to make a comeback to bodybuilding after having 5 years off! He competed in the NPC Gateway Classic and Florida vs. Bahamas Invitational, winning both the light heavyweight class and the overall in both shows. Now 26 years old, Ricky intends to take some time off to put on more size and then to take a shot at some national titles. We photographed Ricky as he competed in his most recent show.
